Hello,
Welcome to NDHelp. No matter how you found this website, I hope it proves helpful to you. I created this space with one of my close friends and colleagues while I was signed off work with what I now know was autistic burnout. We work in mental health, are both neurodivergent, and struggled to find support/resources to help both ourselves and our patients.
Any resources we did find online tended to be behind a paywall and were inaccessible to us both as practitioners and people. We therefore started to make our own. Many of these resources address issues we have personally faced or frequently observed in our patients. They're designed to be used as self-help or with a therapist.
We work within the NHS as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. These workbooks are informed by the evidence base we use (low-intensity Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), our learnings from various research platforms, conferences, and personal support from other organizations.
I'm studying for a master's in Clinical Psychology, with a research interest in the autistic experience of anxiety. This blog will primarily be a place where I share research I have read (hopefully in an accessible way) as well as general updates about our work.
